GIS

A geographic information system (GIS) makes it possible to gather different data and present them on a map.  The applications in the GIS system are diverse and can be used  by executive officers in the organization, management officers and residents._cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Proper construction of a GIS system requires accurate characterization of the information and the creation of a continuous process for updating it. The GIS systems should be focused on the user's needs and accompanied by a friendly user interface. Developing a system in a way that allows targeting users will ensure consistent use of the system and lower the barriers of those who still think that the system is a work tool for GIS experts. The GIS system   is an information system that is part of the organizational core and therefore it should be exposed and accessible.

The success of a GIS system depends to a large extent on how the interfaces between it and other organizational systems are executed. No more import and export of information but information sharing.   Different organizations can share information in a way that is "transparent"   and create a community of users that makes use of current information._cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ The concept of sharing data and creating dynamic layers based on information managed in tangential systems will make it possible to transform the GIS system into a dynamic and up-to-date system that is an important part of the organizational information systems.
